Sugar Paper

Romance is essential to living well, but it doesn’t have to be difficult, overly expensive or time consuming. You don’t have to do something big if you are willing to do something fabulous, the difference is in the details. You need a card, but rather than settle for a “Hallmark” moment, why not spend a little more and get a card of some real distinction?
I recently visited a quaint little shop in Brentwood that had really fine quality cards and paper. Sugar Paper, the brainchild of Jamie Grobecker and Chelsea Shukov is a luxury stationary store offering fine papers with antique letterpress accents and fine stitching that is all but extinct in today’s printing technology.
The store offers a full line of stationary and custom printing options but I fell in love with these charming cards that simply say, “You had me at Hello!” Who doesn’t want to hear that? Whether you are a Jerry Maguire fan or not the sentiment is wonderfully romantic. What a lovely Valentine to give this truly distinctive card and a small box of decadent gourmet chocolate truffles from Teuscher Chocolates (more on them in the next blog).
Sugar Paper is lovely both the product and the shop. I love how they displayed their custom stationary wall by painting it pink and using white inexpensive frames to showcase their custom work!!
I also loved the "stationary bar"…so cute!! and the banquette in the window...very girlie! very charming!...it even smells really good too!! Visit Sugar Paper and this Valentine’s Day give a distinctive gift to show the depth of your feeling.
