The James Beard Foundation Award Winners

Time magazine calls The James Beard Foundation Awards the food equivalent of the Oscars. Earlier this week in a ceremony held at The Lincoln Center, the 2009 JBF awarded prizes in 38 categories. Cookbook of the year went to Fat: An Appreciation of a Misunderstood Ingredient, with Recipes.

After years of trying to eat low fat, I guess the cooking world is ready to acknowledge that some things just taste better with a little…fat!
